This single setting determines whether your atta comes out silky fine or coarsely textured, and getting it wrong costs you customers.
What Is the Stone Gap and Why Does It Matter?

Signs You Have the Gap Wrong
- Stones touching: You'll hear a grinding/scraping noise and feel vibration. Stop immediately — stones touching causes heat damage and premature wear.
- Flour too hot: Gap is too tight. The friction is excessive. Widen slightly.
- Flour too coarse for customer: Gap is too wide. Tighten slightly and re-test.
- Uneven flour texture: Upper stone may not be seated level. Check the machine alignment.
